Tell Tale Tattoos is a duo of artists comprised of Tessa McGarrity, and founder: Joe Perry. Established in October 2020, Tell Tale Tattoos has a combined 14 years of experience. Both artists come from an art background. Joe OBTAINED two degrees, one in art education the other in fine arts; so outside of the craft of tattooing, Joe demonstrates his artistic background through oil painting. Tessa, with a degree in criminal psychology, and college art courses to boot, demonstrates her talents outside of the tattoo in craft through watercolor, painting, and ink drawing. Tell Tale Tattoos is known for its dark and macabre approach to their artwork, with a touch of whimsy. Both artists find comfort in the visually unsettling, yet enjoy bringing a more lighthearted approach to such subjects, and though the team favors that darker approach, each are perfectly capable of demonstrating softness, playfulness, and even elegance. The team that Tell Tale Tattoos has made it a point to extend their learning and experience by traveling and attending conventions, conferences, and even seminars. With these experiences, they bring a new outlook to their craft and commitment to delivering high quality tattoos and art with each passing year.

(216)772-0665 Joe Perry is a classically trained artist with two art focused Bachelor’s Degrees; One in Painting and Sculpture, the other in Art Education. Joe has been involved in creating art his whole life, and brings that passion and training into his tattoo work. In 2015, Joe permanently left the security of a job as an art teacher to pursue his passion for the craft of tattooing, in which he’d been involved since 2013. During his time in the tattoo industry, Joe has worked with artists from many other states to further his education and technical approach to tattooing, and grow as an artist.
